Quand je me suis soudain arrêtée
In front of these intertwined trees
I have long walked
On this carpet dried leaves
Which deadened the sound of my footsteps hurry
When I suddenly stopped
In front of these intertwined trees
Showing front of me all their majesty.
Although one of them has ceased to exist
It was easy to imagine
What its life had been
After all these years
Where by high winds swept
It had often danced
Leaving the leaves twirl all over
Lining the undergrowth of this amber color
Erecting a thick mattress of these leaves scattered
Where with you I will wish to can lie me down
